Dreamtime Cultural Centre
This interesting cultural centre focuses on the traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. There are also displays on bush tucker and boomerang and didgeridoo demonstrations.

Rockhampton Art Gallery
Rocky’s art gallery has exhibits of art by local artists with an emphasis on paintings from the 1940s to the 70s.

Rockhampton Zoo & Botanic Gardens
Rockhampton has a surprisingly good zoo that is home to primates although the main focus is on native Australian fauna. Entry is free, which makes it a great alternative to the high priced wildlife parks in the bigger cities.
