Launceston Airport is 20km south of the city centre and has flights to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. JetStar, Qantas and Virgin Blue fly into here.
The Airporter Shuttle Bus (tel (03) 6343 6677) connects with all flights and will pick up and drop off at hostels. The one-way fare to the city centre is $12.
BUS
Buses operate to destinations throughout Tasmania. Tassielink (tel 1300 300 520) coaches arrive and depart from the terminal at 101 George Street in the city centre. The Redline (tel 1300 360 000) coach terminal is at 18 Charles Street.
