SOUTHPORT

Southport is about 5km north of Surfers Paradise. It is the coast's main business centre and is home to the huge Australia Fair shopping centre and it is a good alternative if Surfers feels too touristy for you.

There are frequent buses between Southport and Surfers Paradise.

Surfers is the hub of the Gold Coast and it is here that you'll find most of the nightlife. It is one of Australia's top party spots and most of the hostels here have a party atmosphere.
