Yungaburra

Yungaburra is a quaint little historic village in the heart of the Atherton Tablelands and it is the perfect base for exploring the area. Nearby is the easily accessible curtain fig tree, with its long boardwalk and viewing platforms. Lake Eacham and Lake Tinaroo are great for swimming and fishing, or canoeing. The monthly markets are a popular stop for many local residents, and the Tablelands area is home to the Waterfall Circuit, the Nerada Tea Plantation, and the Mungalli Creek Dairy Farm where you can learn about dairy production and have free samples. This area has a high amount of rare tree kangaroos and is a great spot to see other wildlife, including platypus.
