The area inland from the Sunshine Coast is home to natural attractions including the Glasshouse Mountains. Most of the sights in the hinterland are an easy daytrip from Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Noosa or Brisbane.
Famed as the home of Steve Irwin, television’s Crocodile Hunter, Australia Zoo was established in 1970 and is now home to more than 750 animals. The park features a large range of animals with a strong focus on Australian animals including giant pythons, some of the world’s most venomous snakes, wild birds and native turtles and saltwater crocodiles.
