Pemberton & Gloucester National Park

This small timber town in the heart of tall timber country makes an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. It is close to both the Beedelup and Warren National Parks, which have some rewarding hiking trails.

Pemberton is just a small village of 800 people and naturally the town centre isn’t exactly a wonderland of things to do. Pemberton’s attractions are out of town and it really is essential to have your own car. Gloucester National Park is a big attraction to travellers in the area, and the park is famous for its gigantic karri-tree – The Gloucester Tree. The entrance fee to the Gloucester National Park is $10.

At more than 70m this tree is even taller than the Gloucester Tree. It has a platform halfway up for those that aren’t adventurous enough to climb all the way.
