Karratha

Karratha is a modern regional centre and home to the state’s largest shopping centre north of Perth. Apart from the excellent infrastructure of shops, accommodation and fuel, there’s not a lot to make you want to linger in town.

If you’re driving, Karratha is a sensible place to break your journey, especially if you’re driving north as there is not another hostel until you get to Broome, which is 830km away.
