Green Island

This tiny coral cay, just 26km off the coast of Cairns, is a popular spot with daytrippers. The island is a national park and there is very good snorkelling.

It is best visited as a day trip as accommodation on the island is expensive. Part of the resort has facilities for day-trippers.

Coming & going

Great Adventures (tel (07) 4044 9944 or 1800 079 080) ferry passengers between Cairns and Green Island. Prices start at $69 return but full day trips cost $109 including lunch and use of resort facilities.
