Batemans Bay

Batemans Bay is around 150km east of Canberra and is a popular weekend destination for families from the capital. Although there aren’t a lot of things to see or do in Batemans Bay, the town is one of the nicer holiday destinations on the coast. Many travellers stay in Bateman’s Bay and make a day trip to Pebbly Beach in Murramarang National Park, which is only about 30 minutes north of here.

Coming & going

Premier Motor Services run buses to destinations up and down the coast including services to Sydney and Melbourne. There are also daily buses to Canberra run by Transborder Express. All buses stop at the Orient Street bus bay and Transborder buses also stop at the Shady Willows YHA.

Although there is no regular public transport from Batemans Bay to Pebbly Beach, the Shady Willows YHA runs daytrips that allow for five hours in Murramarang National Park. The return trip costs $15.
